Leader of Special Educational Needs, Disability, and Inclusion (SENDCo) job summary

As our Leader of Special Educational Needs, Disabilities and Inclusion (SENDCo), you will play a pivotal role in shaping an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. You will lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school, ensuring that pupils with additional needs receive the tailored support they deserve.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the identification and assessment of pupils with SEND.

Coordinating and monitoring individual education plans (IEPs) and interventions.

Working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver effective support.

Providing guidance and professional development to staff on best practices in SEND.

Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and maintaining accurate records.

This is a leadership role that requires vision, empathy, and strong organisational skills. You will be a champion for inclusion, committed to removing barriers to learning and enabling all pupils to reach their full potential.
