Location: Hastings
Start date: January 2024
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £22,737 pro rata; actual salary: £16298 (TTO and 30 hours per week)

We are now seeking a resilient and robust individual to join our fantastic Pastoral Team as a Learning & Engagement Mentor.
This role will involve helping the Pastoral Manager, the pastoral team, and the wider school community, by taking responsibility for the engagement and learning of pupils identified as having needs centred on social, emotional, mental health and behavioural needs.
The post-holder will also support the Pastoral Team by proactively dealing with behavioural issues as they present themselves during the school day, to reduce the number of reactionary situations.
The successful candidate will:
• have experience of working with primary aged children
• have good literacy and mathematical skills
• be hard working and adaptable to change
• ideally have a secure understanding and knowledge of supporting children’s learning.
