Learning & Pastoral Inclusion Mentor (Non-Teaching)
To commence ASAP

Full-Time
Salary: Grade 6 £30,559-£34,314 pro rata, £26,519 - £29,777 actual
37 hours per week, term time plus training days (39 weeks per year)
Mon – Thurs 8.30am - 4.30pm and Fri 8.30am - 4.00pm with a half hour unpaid break
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly efficient and organised person to become a Learning and Pastoral Inclusion Mentor for The Hazeley Academy. A key focus of this role will be to oversee and assist in the smooth and effective running of the pastoral provision of the academy. This will involve working within our R2L (Return to Learn) department. You will provide a complementary service to that of Progress Leaders, teachers and other support staff with a particular focus on either whole school detentions or the Reflection Unit.
You will provide excellent pastoral care, guidance and support through working with our ethos of highly effective routines, restorative approaches, excellent relationships and recognition/rewards.
The ideal candidate will have: -
- Proven experience in a similar role
- The ability to relate well to children and gain their trust and respect
- High expectations for the students they support
- Excellent time management and the ability to work effectively within a team
