What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Have relevant experience of working with young children with social, emotional, mental health and behaviour needs.
  • Have the ability to work imaginatively to engage disaffected young people, have effective communication skills, the ability to be understanding, calm and supportive and have energy, patience, enthusiasm and a sense of humour.
  • Have an understanding of the issues relating to pupils who have additional learning needs, more able and special educational needs.
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Recognised qualification or related experience.
  • Experience of working in a team situation.
  • Experience of working with pupils who have special needs.
