Be passionate about teaching and learning;
Be willing to be flexible and demonstrate strong teamwork skills;
Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills;
Have a keen interest in autism and dyslexia;
Have experience of working with children within a learning environment.

What the school offers its staff

Helston Community College, part of Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join our Special Needs Team as a Learning Champion as soon as possible.

You will be supporting students with specific learning needs, advising on strategies, delivering intervention programmes, and drawing up support plans that will include strategies for academic, social and emotional difficulties.
