Learning Coach: Literacy and Numeracy Coaches job summary

At Turves Green Boys’ School our coaches will have a huge impact supporting the progress and attainment of our pupils. They will help pupils to plug their gaps and get back on track. We employ dedicated and dynamic staff who are enthusiastic about helping pupils achieve to the best of their ability.
Whatever your experience in the classroom, it’s your passion and ‘geekiness’ for your subject that counts. You will be part of a team who support pupils in Key Stage 3 and 4 to understand concepts and processes that they find challenging.
Skills required:
• Well qualified in your specialist subject area (A Level is desirable but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills
• Organisational skills
• Ability to motivate and enthuse pupils and instil a love of learning

Turves Green Boys’ School has recently joined Matrix Academy Trust. We are a Trust with five schools, 4,600 children, nearly 600 staff and a passion for school improvement. All of our schools have improved in Ofsted terms since joining the Trust. Our aim will be to work with pupils, parents and staff at Turves Green Boys’ to support the many improvements that have taken place since the school was placed in special measures.
