The role

North Oxfordshire Academy are looking to recruit an experienced Learning coach to join our team. The role is permanent role, working term time only 37.5 hours a week from 8:00am - 4pm, Monday - Friday. We would consider part time working and would encourage candidates to contact us to discuss this.

As a Learning coach you will work with the SENCO and Assistant Principal as part of a professional team to support the teaching and learning of our students. You will provide learning support to students who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning, such as those with moderate, severe and multiple learning difficulties and/or behavioural, social, communication, sensory or physical disabilities. Experience in supporting phonics and helping pupils with their writing would be an advantage.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Have highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • demonstrate excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have experience or some understanding of children with varying needs and a positive attitude
  • Have strong IT skills
  • Experience of working within an educational setting.
  • GCSE Grade A – C, Level 2 or above in English and Maths or the equivalent.
