What skills and experience we're looking for
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, highly motivated and organised individual to become part of an enthusiastic and hard-working team. We are looking for a Learning Manager to support our English Department in delivering teaching and learning. The role will involve supervising classes during short-term absence of teachers due to professional development activities etc, primarily in English, but also in other subjects. You will also provide technical and administrative support to the English Department, both in lessons and extra-curricular activities. The successful applicant will have a commitment to working to support the success of all young people and a willingness to engage fully in continued professional development. A qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is desirable.
We are looking for someone who has:
- a genuine passion for English and either has, or would like to gain some classroom experience
- good communication skills
- enthusiasm and a commitment to make a difference to students
- the ability to manage time effectively
- good IT skills
- the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
