Hours: Full-time, working 36 hours per week. Term-time only Start:September/ October 2023We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Learning Mentor and BLC Co-ordinator. Learning Mentors provide an invaluable service, supporting teaching, learning and pastoral care, addressing the needs of students who need help to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside school. Learning Mentors play a key role in the School’s wider pastoral team, led by the Deputy Headteacher: Pastoral and Safeguarding. The BLC is a small resource within our school for students who need some additional emotional support for a short period of time or for other students who have set periods in the BLC over the year to work on their GCSE. The BLC provides a nurturing and calm environment for students to access their learning. The BLC coordinator oversees the organisation of the BLC, which is staffed by teachers for specific periods in the day.
