English Learning Mentor
Salary: CAN salary scale point 14 - 17 (Actual salary pro-rata £16,840 - £17,160 term time only. £22,027 - £22,447 per annum, FTE).
Working hours: 33 hours per week between 8.00am and 4.00pm, 190 days per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Oaks Park High as a Learning Mentor in English.
This is a non-teaching post which will give the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to work closely with young people and supporting them in their school life, helping them to access a varied and exciting curriculum.
As a Learning Mentor, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff within the English subject area, although you may also be assigned to other subject areas if this supports students’ learning and matches with your subject knowledge or skill set.
You will be expected to work effectively with both teaching and support staff at all levels as well as with parents/carers, students and external agencies.
Training in school systems and practices will be provided.
