Learning Mentor (Level 2)

Permanent

Full time: 37 hours per week / 41 weeks per year

Salary: Grade 6, scale point range £28,900 to £32,909

Actual: Grade 6, scale point range £25,981 to £29,585

Start date: May 2023

Limpsfield Junior School are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor (Level 2) to join our team.

We are looking for candidates that can:

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude when working with children
  • Develop strong relationships with children and families
  • Show dedication, patience and kindness when working with children across school
  • Deliver interventions and structured play activities that are exciting and engaging for a range of different pupils
  • Have a calm and supportive manner, able to work flexibly and respond to unplanned situations with an organised and inclusive approach
  • Support our looked after children to ensure that they access the SEMH provision they require and to liaise with external agencies
  • To make referrals to external agencies in order to access support for children and families
  • To take on the role of designated safeguarding deputy as part of the safeguarding team
  • To support staff members in promoting positive relationships following the Trauma Informed approach
  • To offer support with transition from infant school and to secondary school
  • To plan for and run after school clubs and holiday club provision
  • Work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Have a commitment to help pupils make progress in all areas of their learning and development
