Working pattern 9.00 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday
To start in January 2021. Fixed term in the first instance to 31 July 2021 with the potential for the contract to become permanent

This exciting new role has been created to support students who have fallen behind as a result of extended school closure, however, there could be the opportunity for a permanent contract to help close gaps in literacy with a variety of students.

The post will focus on supporting identified students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5 for the right candidate). Work will be both in class and in small withdrawal groups. The successful candidate will be supported by the English Department, and will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and passionate about literacy.

You should have excellent literacy skills and be able to work independently and as part of our team of teachers. Knowledge of the AQA GCSE English Language and Literature, plus AQA Step Up to English qualifications would be an advantage. Actual salary is £17,881 to £19,183 per annum.
