30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Working pattern 9.00 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday
Fixed term in the first instance to 31 July 2021 with the potential for the contract to become permanent
The job could be split with one post working in Maths and one post working in Science. Please state on your application which subject area(s) you are applying for.
This exciting new role has been created to support students who have fallen behind as a result of extended school closure, however, there could be the opportunity for a permanent contract to help close gaps in mathematics and science with a variety of students.
The post will focus on supporting identified students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5 for the right candidate). Work will be both in class and in small withdrawal groups. The successful candidate will be supported by the Science and Maths Departments, and will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and passionate about these subjects.
You should have excellent skills in Science and Maths and be able to work independently and as part of our team of teachers. Knowledge of the AQA GCSE Combined Science specification and the Edexcel GCSE Maths specification would be an advantage. Actual salary is £17,881 to £19,183 per annum for 30 hour per week.
