What skills and experience we're looking for
Duke’s Secondary School which is part of Northumberland Church of England Academy Trust has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Learning Mentor in maths
The purpose of the position is to take the lead role within the school to assess, identify and address the needs of pupils who require particular help to overcome barriers to learning in the subject of maths.
You will use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support their learning and will develop and implement Intervention Plans.
Your ability to build relationships with young people will be key to success in this role. You will need to be energetic, enthusiastic, creative and resilient, and at all times and in all situations demonstrate to the young people that they are valued.
You will make a great addition to the team if you are committed to developing the life chances of our pupils, and are able to deliver a high quality provision for all, while maintaining discipline effectively.
This is a role that needs someone who can make a difference to the lives of our young people, not just now, but for their future.
