What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a motivated individual who has a passion for supporting children and their families to join our Pastoral Team. The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to children and those engaged with them, by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and achieve their potential. Learning mentors carry a caseload and offer timetabled support to individuals and groups of pupils. The role will also involve some class cover.

We are looking for someone who:

● Has experience of working with children and families

● Can build and maintain positive working relationships with both families, colleagues and external agencies

● Is a team player but is also able to work using their own initiative

● Is caring and has an empathic nature, demonstrating excellent communication skills

● Experience of coordinating Early Help Assessments
