Bank Learning Support Assistant job summary

St Paul's are looking for Bank Learning Support Assistants who are enthusiastic, energetic, caring and nurturing, and committed to supporting children's learning both in the classroom and at lunchtime. Although this is initially a casual contract it could lead to a permanent role in the future. St Paul's is a friendly and forward thinking school. We are an established primary academy in the growing Good Shepherd Trust and rated as 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted. We believe in valuing and nurturing all our team and have a proven track record in supporting and developing our staff.

You should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be an effective team member and be prepared to use your own initiative.

We can offer part-time bank positions within term time. Our working hours are 8.30am-3.10pm.

The full time salary scale for the post is £20,733 (GST scale B).

The successful candidate will:

  • have the opportunity to work as part of a supportive, hardworking and friendly team.
  • be supported in continual professional development through comprehensive training and coaching which will allow you to enhance and further develop your skills

What we are looking for:

  • GCSE grades of at least 'C' in English and Maths.
  • The ability to read and write fluently, with confidence in Maths.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm.
  • SEN experience (desirable but not essential).

Successful applicants must be able to support the distinctive Christian ethos of the school but do not have to be a practising Christian.
