What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to provide support for classes within Early Years, KS1 and KS2, this will include SEN children and will involve one to one work. At present the posts are fixed term (Oct 23 to July 24), but there may be an opportunity for these to become permanent or extended in the future.
The successful candidates will be:
- Experienced in working with children preferably in a Teaching Assistant/ learning support assistant role.
- Willing to work as part of a team and in partnership with the teacher.
- Experienced in supporting pupils with a range of needs and able to demonstrate understanding towards them. (For example: autism and learning difficulties).
The successful candidates will be class based and primarily work as support for children with special educational needs involving one to one time. The positions are full time (although 3-4 days would be considered) and the hours of work are 8.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday (term time only which includes 5 inset days). The posts include lunchtime cover, supporting children outside and also supporting children in class with meal times.
