What skills and experience we're looking for
We would like to appoint an enthusiastic learning support assistant to join our committed and caring team across our Academy centres (please read the job description available below). Many of the young people who attend our provision arrive here at a point of crisis or conflict in their lives. It is our aim to ensure that we help them to regain a sense of confidence and self-esteem which allows them to compete on equal terms with their peers, despite the disruption to their education caused by leaving mainstream school.
What the school offers its staff
This post is 30 hours a week, term time only at Scale 5 Pt 8-11. The actual salary will be between £15,797 and £16,683 per annum (based on 39 working weeks, paid weeks 44.6).
The successful candidate will be required to support the learning that goes on within the classroom, directed by the SENCO and class teacher as well as delivering intervention programmes. There may be the opportunity to work with post 16 pupils in a mentoring role, supporting them in their chosen onward plan.
