Are you currently a Teaching Assistant or Early Years practitioner this could be a great opportunity for you.
Hatchside School is a new school it opened in April 2021 and is part of Astrum Multi Academy Trust. Hatchside School’s ethos is based on the principles of Early Year practice, the aspiration is for Hatchside School to become a role model to schools and settings for children with SEND and become known as a beacon of good practice.
We welcome applications from those with some experience in this area of work or those wishing to develop a career in a special school environment. Staff should be able to demonstrate currency of knowledge in terms of early years practice and SEND (or the willingness to engage in updating this when in the post).
We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to be part of the Hatchside School team at this exciting time and who:
• Have experience working with young children including those with a range of complex needs
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills and a Level 2 childcare or equivalent qualification.
• Are calm, resilient, flexible and have a sense of humour
• Can build effective, positive relationships with children and work collaboratively with colleagues in the school environment
• Understand how children learn and develop and can use this knowledge to support with the assessment of young children including the use of ICT to record progress.
• Enjoy a challenge and wants to be part of a team on an exciting journey in setting up a new school
