What skills and experience we're looking for

POST 1

We are looking to recruit a fulltime HLTA/ LSA to work across our school, providing release time for staff to focus their time on curriculum development. The successful candidate will work in the afternoons covering classes across the school. If you have prior experience of cover supervising and are able to develop strong relationships with children so they can reach the expectations made of them – we would like to hear from you!

The school is going through a period of rapid development and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible skilled practitioner to support this growth. The candidate would ideally, knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum and demonstrate a good understanding of the grammar and mathematics taught at this level in the school.

The general LSA post is for a class-based role that will provide support for pupils in the morning in a specific class.

Full time Learning Support Assistant

Salary Grade 15 £11.78 - £11.98 per hour

27.50 hours per week

Fixed term to 31.08.24 in the first instance

Our friendly, school is looking for a skilled Learning Support Assistant to work with a child in the school.

For all posts we would like to hear from you if you:

  • are an outstanding practitioner
  • have experience of working with children with complex needs
  • have a knowledge of how to support a pupil’s emotional needs as well as their academic development
  • have experience of supporting pupils with their learning
  • Demonstrate the ability to support reactive intervention and pre tutoring
  • are able to demonstrate a good use of initiative and responsibility to support pupils’ learning
  • are able to take on others ideas
  • Have knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and end of Key stage expectations.

What the school offers its staff

Our curriculum is set up to explore learning through a hands-on approach that requires skilled professionals to have the ability to promote what is being seen as well as knowing the curriculum well enough to make connections with other areas of the curriculum at the same time. Candidates need to also recognise the small steps that a child needs to take and how this is recorded as part of their individual Learning Plan. This skilled role will enable a child to unlock their learning and become confident learners – a privileged position indeed.
