Hours: 19.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Salary: Level 2 (from £23,500 pro-rata)
Contract Type: Permanent
We wish to appoint a part-time Learning Support Assistant (19.5 hours per week) to join a hardworking and vibrant team to work alongside students who may have a range of challenging learning, communication, and/or physical difficulties.
An ideal candidate for this role is someone who is enthusiastic, committed, and relational in working with our students and passionate about improving outcomes for the children and young people we work with. All our LSAs are expected to be flexible and adaptive in their approach in the classroom, alongside leading effective 1-to-1 intervention sessions as necessary. The LSA team at LVC is extremely effective and well-regarded in the school community, a candidate considering this position must be able to work successfully both within a positive team environment and be able to show initiative when working independently.
The ability to support students with SEND in one or more of the following subjects up to GCSE grade would be an advantage: English, Maths, Science and Technology.
This role could be combined with our Design and Technology Technician vacancy for a more substantive role of 29.5 hours a week for a suitable candidate.
Requests for flexibility in working arrangements/patterns will be considered.
