What skills and experience we're looking for
30 Hours per week (part time considered), Term time only + 2 Inset Days
Monday 8.50am - 4.15pm, Tuesday to Friday 8.50am - 3.25pm
Providing support to the class Teacher, you will be working as part of a team to assist in delivering a high quality education for our pupils.
The role will involve assisting with the general management of pupils, preparing the classroom and setting out resources, supporting with pupils' individual needs and assisting with maintaining records of pupils' progress.
You will have access to excellent professional development centred on teaching strategies for children and young people with special needs and disabilities.
We are seeking individuals with excellent communication skills and a caring and positive attitude who can remain calm under pressure.
With a flexible approach, you will be a good listener and committed to getting the best outcomes for our pupils.
Addington School offers a route into teaching for candidates looking for a stepping stone onto the SEND teacher ladder to gain your Qualified Teacher Status.
Due to expansion, we will also have an additional school site opening in September/October 2023 in Farley Hill. We are also keen to hear from applicants who are able to work at either or both locations.
