We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our fantastic team of dedicated, hard-working colleagues, who contribute to a wonderful culture of work, supporting students with additional needs.

Role Overview:

  • The Learning Support Assistant will be part of a dedicated team working to support students with additional needs, specifically those with speech, language, communication, social, and emotional difficulties.
  • The role involves supporting both individual and group work, assisting with the use of resources including IT, and helping students access the national curriculum.
  • Responsibilities also include monitoring and recording student progress, supervising students on school trips, and providing care and welfare support when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in accordance with their Education, Health, and Care Plans.
  • Deliver pre-planned work under a teacher's direction.
  • Assist in assessing and recording student progress.
  • Supervise students during arrival, departure, and break times.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and parents/carers.
  • Attend planning meetings and training sessions.
  • Participate in the preparation of resources and identify what is needed.
