Learning Support Assistant job summary

Purpose of Job: To assist and support a pupil with a moderate /Severe learning disability and language development difficulties, who currently has an EHCP

Role: work under the direct instruction of the class teacher/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for a Year 2 pupil with a Statement of Special Educational Needs (EHCP) – Learning Disability

Experience
• Working with or caring for children of lower primary age
• Proven successful experience of working with children with a learning disability in an educational setting.

Qualifications
• Good numeracy/literacy skills
• Minimum Level 3 TA qualification
• Participate in development and training opportunities.
