What the school offers its staff

Whitby Secondary Partnership

The Whitby Secondary Partnership is a federation between Caedmon College Whitby, Whitby Sixth Form and Eskdale School. This partnership is designed to provide close working between two 11-16 schools and a sixth form. This allows for our staff and students to learn and develop together. From September 2023, following a consultation process, the two school will amalgamate to form a new school, based on the current College site, whilst retaining a separate Sixth Form Site. This will result in the two staff coming together and a new staffing structure will be put in place.

Caedmon College Whitby holds the values ‘Excellence, Friendship, Respect’ and our aim is that all our staff and students strive to embody these values throughout their time at the school.

At Eskdale School, the school motto is ‘A place of belonging – A place of inspiration’ with the aim that all our students thrive and make good academic progress whilst developing into resilient, confident and respectful young people.

Across the partnership, staff morale is high and we have a commitment to recognise individual potential and to provide support, CPD and training for colleagues joining our organisation at all levels; you will never feel unsupported or alone in our school.
