What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a passionate, energetic and ambitious Learning Support Assistant as we expand our friendly team. Our Learning Support Assistants work alongside teaching staff and in small groups to support students through a range of different activities and subjects. This would suit candidates looking to work 30 hours per week in a busy and thriving school environment, where every day is different and where you make a difference to the students and staff, as well as the wider school community.
We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:
- Demonstrate good levels of Literacy and Numeracy skills.
- Be organised and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate both orally and in your written work with a range of students of all abilities.
- Use integrity, flexibility and your own initiative.
You are likely to be someone who:
- Has previous knowledge/ training in Child Protection, Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE2023) or be willing to train.
- Has experience of working in an educational setting supporting students with medical conditions.
- Holds a relevant first aid qualification (Either First Aid at work or Paediatric First Aid).
- Has experience and knowledge of students social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Is calm, confident and professional at all times.
- Has excellent ICT skills in Microsoft Office programmes.
