The Priory Learning Trust (Somerset Business Award winner for Employer of the Year) is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to work at our West Huntspill Primary School Academy.

This is a non-teaching, role focused on supporting pupils in the classroom. This will involve building strong supportive relationships with the pupils, working closely with the class teacher, assisting in planning learning activities. We are a small, friendly village school dedicated to improving outcomes for all children and providing first-class pastoral and educational support for all, including those that find traditional teaching environments more challenging.We are looking for an experienced, empathetic, compassionate and motivated member of staff who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and equal opportunities for all.

As part of this role, you will;

  • Support children in their personal development and progress through school.
  • Help develop positive learning behaviours, working collaboratively with the class teacher.
  • Support children to be successful in our school and beyond.
