Learning Support Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support children with additional needs, at our friendly and successful Outstanding rated (December 2023) Infant and Nursery school.

Our ideal candidates should be nurturing, ambitious and passionate about inspiring and supporting children to develop and learn. They must be able to use their own initiative, able to follow advice from professionals and have a good knowledge and understanding of behaviour management.

You will be part of a supportive, inspiring teaching team working with lively and enthusiastic children. We are keen to find a new member of staff who is as committed and ambitious as we are.

The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the child’s learning across the curriculum as well as taking an active role within the school community.

The role is for 28.75 hours per week, 8.45am-3.00pm, Monday - Friday. You will work term time (38 weeks) plus five inset days and a minimum of two days to be worked during school holidays (pro-rata).
