Learning Support Assistant job summary

We are seeking to appoint two caring, dedicated Learning Support Assistants (Teaching Assistant) to join our Aspire@Hanley team. The successful candidates will work closely with the SENCO, Deputy SENCo and Senior LSA to implement the whole-school SEND strategy and ensure that Quality First Teaching is delivered to students with SEND.

Hours: 20-25 hours permanent contract, to be worked over a minimum of 4 days, term time only plus 5 TED Days.

Salary: SC1 £18,333 FTE

Start date: 1 September 2022

Hanley Castle High School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school of approximately 1,050 students, including a flourishing sixth form. The school gained academy status in 2011 and in April 2017 our articles of association as an academy were amended to form the Hanley and Upton Educational Trust (MAT). This formalised close links with Hanley Swan and Kempsey primary schools. In January 2019 Welland primary school also became a member of the MAT.
