Learning Support Assistant job summary
Ivingswood Academy, a member of Kings Education Trust, has a vacancy for an experienced Learning Support Assistant who can work across EYFS and KS1 to lead teaching groups of children with special educational needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for some planning for groups within these hours.
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our dedicated and happy team. This is a vital role in which you could truly make a difference to pupils and support them to reach their full potential. Support is available from our other staff and the SENCO.
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to children’s happiness, safety and achievement
- Be friendly and approachable with a professional manner and a good sense of humour
- Possess a good standard of spoken and written English plus maths skills appropriate to the primary age range
- Have knowledge of how best children learn
- Have a knowledge of phonics teaching and be willing to take on further training.
