Learning Support Assistant job summary

At Kemsley, we are looking for a diligent, committed and caring person who is passionate about supporting children with their social, emotional and academic development to join one of our KS2 classes in the role of class learning support assistant.

What we are looking for:

  • At least one years’ experience of working with children in the primary age range 
  • Experience of working with children in a friendly and busy environment
  • An understanding of children with SEN needs 
  • Level 2 qualification in play work/childcare  
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures 
  • Have excellent communication skills 
  • The ability to build effective relationships with students, parents and other staff 
  • Have a good understanding of behaviour management strategies 
  • Be able to work as part of a team
