Learning Support Assistant - KS2 job summary
Are you a Learning Support Assistant who is looking to join our motivated and committed team?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who will bring organisation and commitment to this role, ensuring all duties are completed to the highest standard. You will need to be personable and have good communication skills, be enthusiastic and be happy to embrace our diverse community and celebrate difference.
You must have a good level of English and Maths. A knowledge and understanding of KS2 curriculum is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidates will work alongside the class teacher assist in providing a high-quality education to all pupils. This position is initially within our Upper KS2 phase; however, you may be asked to work throughout the school depending on needs. The role will include: -
- Working alongside class teachers in a specific phase in the school
- Providing support across the curriculum for pupils
- Supporting the development of an engaging learning environment
- Supporting small groups of, and/or individual children with their learning
- Being responsible for the learning and achievement of children you work with
- Supporting children in a pastoral role
- Working within a team
- Demonstrating high expectations for all children
- Upholding the school values at all times
- Being highly professional
- Supervising children at break and lunch
- Assist with maintaining good discipline in line with our behaviour policy
- To follow, maintain and promote the school core values – cooperation, kindness, honesty, resilience, respect and well being
