Learning Support Assistant job summary
The Learning Support Assistant role is a key part of the school’s provision, supporting pupils’ learning, welfare and safety throughout the school day. Working hours are 8.50am-3.35pm, Monday to Friday (term time only). The postholder is expected to uphold high professional standards, contribute to whole‑school development and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistently high‑quality practice.

Lonsdale School is a special school for young people, aged 3 to 18 with physical and neurological impairments (PNI), as a primary need. We provide support for our pupils who often have other SEN needs including speech and language communication, hearing or visual impairment, autistic spectrum disorder, learning difficulties and social emotional mental health needs. All our learners have an EHCP.
