We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring the children get the best learning experience at our school.
This role may require a high level of 1-2-1 teaching and support for specific pupils with their academic progress, communication, and social emotional behaviour difficulties. Additionally, you might work with small groups or individuals outside the classroom, sometimes supporting in the playground environment too.

Experience of working with, or caring for, children is essential.
We are one of the largest junior schools in Southampton - taking in five classes per year group from Years 3 to 6 for children aged 7 to 11. We currently have 570 pupils on roll.
At Ludlow Junior School, we work hard to make sure that we are meeting the needs of all of our pupils, inside and outside of the classroom, whatever their background, ability or interests. Therefore, we are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who is enthusiastic, dynamic and energetic. You will work closely with a class teacher within a supportive team to develop learning for all children - in our school, LSAs work with all of the children, not only those with identified special educational needs.
In return we offer a supportive working environment, with continuous opportunities for coaching and development. You will also have access to contribute to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Ludlow Junior School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. As part of the selection process, we will consider any transferable risks as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks
