Learning Support Assistant (LSA) job summary
At Ludlow Junior School, we work hard to make sure that we are meeting the needs of all of our pupils, inside and outside of the classroom, whatever their background, ability or interests. Therefore, we are looking for Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are enthusiastic, dynamic and energetic. You will work closely with a class teacher within a supportive team to develop learning for all children - in our school, LSAs work with all of the children, not only those with identified special educational needs.
Our current vacant roles may require a high level of 1-2-1 teaching and support for specific pupils with their academic progress, communication, and social emotional behaviour difficulties. Some children will have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). Additionally, you will be teaching and supporting flexibly within a class environment and may work with small groups or individuals outside the classroom; sometimes supporting in the playground environment too.
Tours of the school are welcome and encouraged. Please contact Amy Noades –amy.noades@ludlowjunior.org.ukto arrange a tour.
Assessments and interviews will be held on Thursday 20th October. Please note this may be an all-day process.
Commitment to safeguarding
Ludlow Junior School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. As part of the selection process, we will consider any transferable risks as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks
