Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - St Martins School job summary
We require a learning support assistant to work in KS3 to support pupils with difficulties with communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social emotional and mental
He/she needs to be able to work both with the class teacher to support progress targets identified in an Education Health Care Plan plus Health professionals to deliver specific interventions to support progress. Experience with supporting children with complex needs and / or the willingness to engage in training is essential.
More broadly the role will require you to work with teaching and support staff across school in order to provide pupils with the level and type of support needed. This could be individuals or groups of pupils during independent and/or group work, which includes challenging the more-able and supporting the less able. You may also be involved in supporting pupils with intimate care and/or those who have complex and more challenging needs.
