Learning Support Assistant job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Learning Support Assistant to join our support team.

You will be joining one of the top performing non-selective schools in the local area, having just recorded the best results the school has ever seen. We have a strong focus on high standards and aspirations, built around the simple message that teaching is the most important thing we do.

Core purpose

To support teachers in the delivery of skillfully adapted lessons.

  • To deliver programmes of support, including interventions for identified pupils working in collaboration with leaders, teachers and other support and SEN staff.
  • To support the delivery of the curriculum to small groups or whole classes of pupils to access their learning through the distribution and delivery of learning resources.
  • To provide a visible, high-profile presence in the school at all times, but particularly through designated school lunch periods to support:

- the delivery of a calm and orderly environment

- excellent standards of pupil behaviour and safety

- pupils’ enjoyment of their social time

Hours

This role is part time, term time only.

You will be working 19.5 hours per week - Wednesday to Friday.
