Compton & Up Marden CE Primary School is a small village primary school with a friendly, family feel and a great reputation. It has a stimulating and supportive environment in which all children have the opportunity to develop their individual talents.
We offer a vibrant and creative curriculum through well planned, focused teaching - incorporating visits, after school clubs, use of our exceptional outdoor surroundings and sports field and outstanding musical opportunities. Displays are lively and interactive and they contribute to the positive ethos of the school and celebrate the excellent quality of the children’s learning.
We are committed to ensuring that all children have equal access to the whole curriculum and are given equal opportunities to develop to their full potential in a safe and secure environment in partnership with parents and carers.
The learning environment for children includes a fantastic outdoor learning area, with wonderful views across the South Downs and local farmland. We have a small wooded area that is utilised throughout the school.
We have excellent relationships with the local nurseries and secondary schools and we welcome every opportunity for parents and members of the local community to be involved in our children’s learning.
From March 2021 we joined the Downland Village Schools Federation, further future-proofing all three village schools.
