What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential skills:
- adapt learning tasks to meet the needs of the child;
- support pupils in class and small intervention groups;
- support teachers in gathering evidence and assessment;
- support pupils with positive mental health and well-being;
- create high quality resources for pupils;
- good level of computer literacy;
- excellent literacy and numeracy;
- implement interventions and individual support plans in accordance with teachers’ planning.
Desirable qualities:
- have a knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum;
- experience of working in a school environment;
- relevant training and/or qualifications;
- experience of supporting children with SEN.
