What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential skills:

  • adapt learning tasks to meet the needs of the child;
  • support pupils in class and small intervention groups;
  • support teachers in gathering evidence and assessment;
  • support pupils with positive mental health and well-being;
  • create high quality resources for pupils;
  • good level of computer literacy;
  • excellent literacy and numeracy;
  • implement interventions and individual support plans in accordance with teachers’ planning.

Desirable qualities:

  • have a knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum;
  • experience of working in a school environment;
  • relevant training and/or qualifications;
  • experience of supporting children with SEN.
