The position of Learning Support Assistant is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and compassionate individual to lead lessons, interventions and support our learners in a wide range of subjects across the curriculum..

Essential educational requirements

GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Maths or equivalent

Essential qualifications

Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualification in nursery work or childcare.

Essential skills and experience

Good knowledge and understanding of autism and social communication needs and appropriate strategies to support pupils with this need.
Excellent listening skills.
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
Resilience and ability to take regular responsibility of all pupils in the learning activities.
Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in the learning activities.
To use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies.
