Although experience of working with children with additional needs is desirable, we will also consider candidates who have the commitment, passion and “can do” attitude and who we believe will fit into our fantastic team.

The successful candidates will likely work in our secondary department, supporting pupils with their academic work as well as their social and emotional needs. The majority of our pupils at this age are on the pathway towards Entry Level qualifications or Functional Skills qualifications.

Key areas of work will include:

Supporting pupils in lessons so that they reach their full potential
Liaising with parents / carers
Contributing to EHCP paperwork to ensure it fully reflects the needs of the child
Participating in the wider community of Westhaven through social times and extra curricular activities.

Westhaven School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
