Learning Support Assistant job summary

Trustees are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic LSA to work with individual children and groups, either in mainstream classes or in our Achievement Hub. Excellent numeracy, literacy and ICT skills are required. Our school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting children’s welfare; all staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and they must follow the school’s code of conduct for adults. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; pre-employment checks will be carried out, references will be sought and successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and other relevant checks with statutory bodies. It is a criminal offence to apply for, or accept a position (paid or unpaid), working with children in regulated activity if you are excluded from such work by virtue of a court order or exclusions by the DBS.
