What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to recruit an LSA who can build excellent relationships with our children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the vision and values of the school
  • Supporting the class teacher and working closely with them to deliver learning
  • Preparing the classroom and associated area ready for use
  • Assisting with the general management of children and resources
  • Working with children on specific activities
  • Supervising children at break and lunch
  • Fostering supportive relationships with the children within the school

Building a rapport with our children to support them with all aspects of school life is essential.

The successful candidate should have the following skills:

  • A good level of English and Maths
  • Sensitivity and understanding to build good relationships with our children
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • An active listener who is proactive and compassionate in their work
  • Good interpersonal skills to build a rapport with our children
  • Experience of working with children in a learning environment
  • The flexibility to work in partnership with all staff

Winslow Church of England School is a two form entry primary school with a Preschool. We cater for children from 3 to 11 years. Our school is located within the market town of Winslow.
