Learning Support Assistant job summary
Thank you for taking the time to look at becoming part of our vibrant junior school. We are looking to appoint a learning support assistant who will be working with a pupil 1:1. You will be working alongside the teacher, SENDCo and SSSEN to support the child with an Education and Health Care Plan. In this role, you will be supporting the pupil emotionally, socially and educationally to make good progress in school. You will take part in the review of the care plan alongside the teacher and SENDCo.
Experience of working with pupils with autism is desirable but not essential, as is training in this area. A willingness to take part in training for this role would be a strong essential to this role, along with a calm and positive personality to support the pupil.
(This role will be paired with an additional 5 hours to work as a midday supervisor again Monday to Friday. This will be paid at a grade 2.)
