Part Time/Term Time - Learning Support Assistant with SEN focus job summary

Ogbourne St George School, set in an area of outstanding beauty whose values of Relationships, Integrity, Valour, Excellence, Respect and Service are seeking a new addition to their established, friendly team.

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in a varied role, 15 hours per week term time only plus inset days. Monday - Friday mornings on a Fixed Term Contract ending on 31st August 2025, with the potential to become more permanent. The role may include providing individual support for a pupil with additional learning needs as well as working with whole class and small groups of children, under the direction of teaching staff, to ensure all pupils make excellent progress and reach their full potential. Our aim is to guide and nurture our children, inspiring aspiration and a love of learning - From small streams, big rivers flow.

Are you someone who has;

  • high expectations of what children can achieve
  • experience of working with children of primary age (which is desirable although full training will be given to the right candidate)
  • flexibility and creativity
  • resilience, and can pick themselves up when things don’t go to plan
  • a passion for and experience of working with children with emotional difficulties
  • a positive approach and passion for engaging children in learning
  • an ability to develop good relationships with children, colleagues and parents
  • Is punctual, reliable and committed
  • Can work in a calm manner at all times
