Learning Support / MDSA job summary

Our newest team member must be patient and show plenty of perseverance. They must have high expectations and a firm, but fair, approach to behaviour management. They will be skilled with working with children that display challenging behaviours and have the skills to build lasting and meaningful relationships with individual children. They will have good communication skills, both written and spoken and in return we can offer you a truly fabulous school to work in!

The person that we are looking for needs to:

  • Have experience of working with children 1:1 that display challenging behaviours

  • Have the skills to build good, supportive relationships with children that are built on mutual understanding and respect

  • Have the skills to follow and set clear boundaries and support children to self regulate enabling them to learn effectively in class, small groups or individually

  • Work as part of a team and be flexible in their approach

  • Respect confidentiality

  • Be an excellent role model with high aspirations and expectations for all children

This post will be reporting directly to the Class Teacher and will be based at Bungay Primary School.
