£18,501 - £24,703 (actual salary for term time working)
Would you like to work in an academy which is committed to changing the lives of young people by developing them into the engineers and business leaders of the future? If so, we have a vacancy in our pastoral team for a mentor who will support students who have recently joined us in Year 9.
This role requires both personal and professional commitment, a real desire to make a difference to young people and the ability to work successfully as part of a team. Your key responsibilities will include acting as a mentor to a group of students, supporting students who have additional needs, working with teachers to help deliver outstanding learning experiences and lunchtime supervision.
The JCB Academy is innovative, unique and unlike any other school, developing business leaders and engineers from Year 9 to Sixth Form and providing Intermediate (level 2) and Advanced (level 3) apprenticeship programmes. With cutting-edge facilities, world-leading partners and genuine industrial challenges that bring theory to life, our students are equipped with aptitudes and skills that prestigious apprenticeship providers, universities and global companies look for in future business leaders and engineers.
We offer students a unique curriculum developed by the academy and its core partners. Working with the likes of Bosch Rexroth, Harper Adams University, JCB, Rolls Royce and Toyota Motor Manufacturing, we ensure that the curriculum is embedded in real industrial practice and includes genuine industrial challenges. Our aim is to provide a world class experience to students and staff.
