What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Practitioner at a Grade D level for literacy initiatives.

The successful candidate will provide support for students who have barriers to learning in literacy. You will work with students in small group interventions as well as 1-1 situations and in lessons, supporting our students to make progress and to feel more confident in themselves as learners.

Good levels of numeracy and literacy are required (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths).

What the school offers its staff

Previous school experience and specialist qualifications are desirable but not essential. As a Grade D practitioner, you will be expected to implement lesson plans, work within our positive behaviour management processes and make judgments about student progress through the school’s assessment framework. Successful candidates will need to show empathy, resilience, initiative, dedication to our students, and a good sense of humour. Training and guidance will be provided
