What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for enthusiastic Learning Support Professionals with drive and creativity to join our dedicated and welcoming team to support the delivery of our curriculum, across the school (Primary, KS3 & 4, 6th Form), to enable our pupils to make exceptional progress in all aspects of school life. We are looking for experienced staff and Graduates to deliver ‘quality first’ learning experiences that challenge and engage. You will supervise and provide support for pupils to help improve engagement in learning, remove barriers to learning, improve attainment and promote their self-confidence and emotional well-being, whilst creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment.
The role provides routine opportunities for professional development that can lead to qualified teacher status or the completion of accredited therapeutic courses.

Nightingale Community Academy is a school for boys aged between 5 and 19 who have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or Statement of SEN for social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Some learners also have Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or other learning difficulties. At Nightingale Community Academy we are committed to raising the expectations of our learner group, removing barriers to learning and delivering attainment at the highest level.
