Ely College

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 4, Points 3 – 5 of the Meridian Trust Support Pay Scale.

Actual Salary: £16,822.31 – £17,386.82 (based on 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year).

Hours of Work: Flexible, multiple posts available.

Working either 3, 4 or 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day, 08:30 – 16:00. 38 weeks per year. Please indicate on your application your preferred hours.

We currently have a vacancy for a passionate, creative, and dedicated Teaching Assistant, who thrives on helping students realise their potential at Ely College. You will work under the direction of the Class Teacher, to enable access to learning for students and to aid the Class Teacher in the management of students and the classroom.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Have a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Maths.
  • Have experience of supporting children in a classroom environment (desirable but not essential).
  • Understands the basics of the education system.
  • Awareness of child protection issues.
